Andrew Howard
Director of Energy Transition
As Energy Transition Director, Andy is the focal point for SEEL’s strategy towards low carbon and net zero energy activities. He has been integral in developing SEEL’s energy transition portfolio, and in leading the collaboration with sister Sumitomo Corporation companies to position for involvement in UK decarbonisation projects, including CCS/CCUS, hydrogen, and other low carbon initiatives.
Andy has over 20 years’ experience working within the upstream Oil and Gas industry, performing senior technical and management roles covering geoscience, development, and operations activities in Eni UK and Sumitomo (Summit E&P). Andy completed his undergraduate in Geology at Imperial College and also holds an MSc in Geology from UCL and an MBA from Robert Gordon University.
Since 2019 Andy has increasingly been proactively involved in Sumitomo’s drive into Energy Transition projects in both the UK and across Sumitomo’s wider global interests, helping to develop and build Sumitomo’s low carbon energy portfolio and net zero initiatives.
