John Austin
Chairman
John is the Chairman for SEEL and advises the SEEL team on a part-time basis with matters of governance, strategy, business development and relationship management.
John served as CEO of SEEL’s predecessor company Summit Exploration and Production Ltd until its sale to Ithaca Energy in 2022. Prior to this, John had a 40+ year history of working in the oil and gas industry, including leadership roles at Enterprise Oil, RWE Dea and OMV AG. John has a first class BSc in Physics with Geophysics from Bath University, MSc in Geophysics from Durham University and has a Certified Director qualification from IOD.
